We have learned that David Duke and other White Power groups are holding a conference near Memphis on November 7-9. The location is the Whispering Woods Conference and Retreat Center, located at the intersection of Hacks Cross and Goodman Roads in Olive Branch, literally just over the state line. Whispering Woods claims that they were tricked into signing a contract to host this White Power Conference, and cannot get out of it without risking a million dollar lawsuit.
Please call Whispering Woods now and let them know that while canceling the contract might result in a lawsuit, that the local business they will lose if they host this despicable group will be even greater. Please call Whispering Woods at 662.895.2941, or email tmurray@wwconferencecenter.com, and ask to speak to their General Manager Travis Murray. Thank you. It is important that we stand up and say that racists and bigots are not welcome in our community.

First, I don't like the idea of suppressing free speech regardless of how revolting.
I give a Black Panther or La Rasa meet up the same respect. Not for their views but for the sake of the first amendment.
Secondly, these clowns don't deserve the effort. What they say is an echo from the past. What they believe is irrelevant.
Instead of giving them type it's best to give them nothing. Every time they assemble and promote their idiocy they lose, not gain, lose more Whites.
They are not important enough to worry about.
Yeah, the day I take marching orders from this "peace and justice center" is the day I'm diagnosed with a massive stroke that destroyed my IQ.

First of all no one is talking about suppressing free speech. Just as these individuals have the right to spew racist nonsense, sane people have the right to raise awareness about such groups activities.
In fact Whispering Woods management was unaware that the Euro-Con was a Hate group instead they were told that their conference was for an Enviromental advocacy group. Free speech does not allow you to commit fraud.

Free speech also allows for us to let a LOCAL business know that the activities of this organization do not represent the ideal and values of the people of Memphis or of Olive Branch. We have the right to let them know that and to peacefully encourage Whispering Woods to not allow them to use their location.
The Peace and Justice Center is not planning a protest action for many of the reasons you cited, however to completely ignore such a group's activities is dangerous.

Watkins, you've been used for evil. You have done evil. Your actions have resulted in evil. This isn't melodrama. This is your serious mistake. Admit it.

Here are the facts.
One. Our deepest sympathies go out to Mr. Murray and his family.
TWO. The Mid-South Peace and Justice Center, never gave out Mr. Murray's personal information. What was sent out was the email that Obama2000 reproduced earlier. Only his name and WORK email.
We would not give out personal information if we had it, which we do not.
Three. The Peace and Justice Center is committed to NONVIOLENT solutions to social injustice. As such we strongly oppose and condemn all such actions of threats and intimidation, like the ones suffered by the Murray family. We do not in anyway approve of these vile actions. We hope and urge members of the Law enforcement community to punish those responsible to the fullest extent of the law.
FOUR. This issue is not and should not be about Mr. Murray, but instead about those who preach intolerance and race hatred especially here where so many issues about race remain unresolved.
Your anger is misplaced, and yes, melodramatic.
Evil is what motivates the bigots in the Euro Conference and Evil is what motivated those who made the threats against the Murray family.

I understand the right to openly oppose these vermin. I just like to see caution taken in the way it's done.

Group up and protest their views outside the venue. That's all good.
But pressuring the venue to silence them, which is what I see going on here, is something I cannot agree with.
Believe me, I would love nothing more than to sow their lips shut at gunpoint. But that would make me a hypocrite and I always try to avoid going there.

I understand your points. However we feel that a protest, with emotions running so high, has a potential to devolve into violence,Which is just what these groups want. No one is silencing them, but we have every right to let a company know, WHO their clients really are and that their other "respectable" customers might not want to have an association with a place that could become the media circus that these vile people desire.
